GhostRider vs TGO: Cuba

Ah yes, my old friend GhostRider is back once again; I’ve missed him over the past few months. In fact, what is posted below is his response to my commentary regarding a story I posted on Cuba. You can see the original story along with my commentary if you follow the link below;

https://whataguy.us/2014/10/01/records-kissinger-made-plans-to-attack-cuba/

First of all, for those of you who don’t know who GhostRider is, he’s a guy who likes to stir it up. He’s also a guy who lives on cliches; you know that guy, he always has something to say, it’s just the same line all the time.

Judge me, see if I give a fuck.” “That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.”

He’s even got a line for picking up women; in fact he’s got dozens of them. He can’t rely on his good looks, so he goes for the cheap stuff. Ironically enough, it works, albeit on the “cheap stuff,” if you get my drift.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand… I never said that Cuba was Switzerland, or Monaco, or any of the Scandinavian countries. What I did say is that Cuba was absolutely, unequivocally not the third-world, communist hell-hole that it is today.

To be fair, I must agree with GhostRider in that unfortunately, and it must be that Spanish blood, ALL, and I repeat, ALL Latin American countries are completely f*cked-up; bad politics, collusion, dictatorships, widespread corruption – you name it. These symptoms are all widespread in both Central and South America, and Cuba has never been the exception. Anyone who knows of Fulgencio Batista must admit that he was as corrupt as they come. However, compared to the general malaise of the Cuban people, the state of the economy, the lack of freedom, the hypocrisy, you name it… that Cuba is today, the Cuba of the early and mid 1950s was a paradise.

First of all, the Cuba of the early and mid 1950s didn’t have that bearded cockroach, Fidel Castro, or his gay brother, Raul Castro. And it certainly didn’t have that Argentinian douche-bag-assassin, Che Guevara, shooting people at point-blank range in the back of the head (he was too much of a coward to look them in the eye). So, if for no other reason (and there are many) the “old Cuba” was much better than the post revolutionary Cuba (after January 1, 1959).

And may I add, in the pre-1959 Cuba, Cubans were allowed to own property; you know, homes, businesses… Post 1959, all private property was stolen from the people and went to the state, which is to say it ALL went to Castro’s pockets and the communist cronies who supported him; those ass-sniffing scum-bags who imprisoned their own family members for a “piece of the pie.”

Anyway, I could go on, but what’s the point? In closing, I have two thoughts for GhostRider:

1. If you live in a banana republic now (in Miami) why not leave?

2. Leave for Cuba. Live the “dream.” Move to Cuba and see what’s it’s like to regress 50 years. Live in Cuba without good food, standing in line for your monthly rations. Live with power outages. Live in a country where the people live off of scamming one another for what they can get. Live in a country where there is no optimism. Live in a country where girls just past puberty are selling their bodies for food; where the common man (unless he is a government informant) has no chance of having even a decent life. Go for it; indulge in the “freedom” and “liberty” that communism “offers.”

You have a choice. Go for it! TGO

From GhostRider:

I do know who is full of shit, if you asked me. I was born in New York City in ’56 to Cuban parents who had left Gilligan’s Island a year earlier and live in Miami, and have lived here since the age of 12 when my parents dragged me down here as part of a conspiracy to ruin my life. Obviously Castro was not the reason the left…simply put, they left because Cuba was a Banana Republic. None of this dollar equality, sugar, rum, cigars, copper, and nickel meant crap. Hundreds of millions of dollars in tourism annually??? Puhhlease…one could have bought the whole island for that kinda money back then. People had FREEDOM there? Everything I see about the Cuban culture is that they have always worried about what the neighbors taught when it came to their actions, behaviors, what they said, and even what they thought – if you want true freedom, learn to say, “Judge me, see if I give a fuck” and you’ll be free even there. I should know for we are in the year 2014, not 1956, and anyone of my contemporaries…if they are honest enough…will tell you that I am presently living (using the theory of relativity) in a Banana Republic right now at this present moment, and surely you can’t tell me the Little Havana of the 50s was a more advanced setting than the Little Havana of modern times here in the USA. Both turned the surroundings into a Banana Republic with the exception that one rotted away and the other is so ripe it should be disposed of before it smells up the place. -GhostRider Wisdom…that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

What a pair of numb-nuts… Edward and GhostRider, let me ask you, what is better; to have 40, 30, maybe as low as 20 percent of the population being middle-class, or having 100 percent of the population being nothing but peasants of the State, waiting for handouts from the Castro regime (which he stole from the 20, 30 or 40 percent)?

I know, I know, all of you people who feel you are “free-spirits” and “progressive thinkers” because you are opposed to the mainstream consider yourselves to be so smart… Guess what, you are morons.

Where in Cuba were you in the pre-Castro years Edward? Because I can tell you, that in the year 2014 you can go to many parts of the U.S.; Mississippi, West Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia; just to name a few, and see a whole lot of poverty! So what does that prove?

As far as China is concerned, I happen to be working with several thousand Chinese people who are being paid $100/month for working 60-plus hours a week. Now I don’t know about what you geniuses think about that, but being halfway around the world and working in construction for that kind of money is no prize. But, think about this… for them it’s better than being in China! So much for communism! By the way, China has more millionaires and billionaires than any other country on the planet. But hell, in a country of 1.6 billion, what does that really mean? What it means is that all but about a thousand of the people are peasants (ring a bell?) while the communist douche-bags are taking in ALL the money that the United States spends buying the crappy products ‘made in China’.

You feeble-minded little “geniuses” can continue to support “La Revolucion” and believe that communism is the “bomb;” knock yourselves out…

And by the way, since I am a fair and open-minded individual, let me say this. The embargo on Cuba is one BIG farce. It did, and has done more to solidify the communist dictatorship in Cuba than anything else. Now, having said that, so what the fuck? You can’t have it both ways. If the “communist system” is so good, why do you need the support of a capitalist system to keep you afloat? As stated in previous posts on this blog, Cuba was a world-leader in the export of sugar, rum, cigars, nickel, magnesium, etc. and thrived in tourism (as it does today). So why use the embargo as an excuse for Cuba’s ills? I know why – propaganda. Silly as it may sound, it works on the simple-minded, such as yourselves.

I still wouldn’t pick China over Cuba to be sent to but, hey, go ahead and split to China when the Chinks you’re working with go back home. Sounds like you can live out your dream there, of being a millionaire…or for that matter, with your “Greatness”, a billionaire. It’s your choice. Go for it. -Ghostrider Wisdom…that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

An update to your advise: “If you live in a banana republic now (in Miami) why not leave?” It seems that not only do I and countless others feel the same way, but good molly miss molly, the politicians down here actually even conduct themselves and city business as if this was officially a banana republic and want to actually make it official, SMH…. A proposal by the Mayor of South Miami and South Miami City Commission calls for the legal separation of Florida into two separate states. The new state — aptly dubbed “South Florida” — would thus become the 51st state in the Union. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2014/10/22/florida-51st-state-south-florida/17705687/ -Ghostrider Wisdom…pure logic and rationale.

    • TGO says:

First of all, my original article had nothing to do with you or a banana republic. My commentary had to do with the state of affairs in post-Castro Cuba, which is appalling. If you think that’s up for debate, check yourself into a mental ward. I never said that Cuba was the best country on the planet, or that the Cuban people were perfect, or that any of the other dictators in Cuba’s history were saints. However, the facts are the facts, and Cuba was a paradise then compared to now.

Second of all, the intent of my blog and my response to your long, boring, poorly written and ponderous commentary was not intended for you to go off trying to prove how wonderful you are. You may fool some, but not me.

Lastly, and once again, my post did not argue that south Florida was or was not a banana republic, as it had nothing to do with south Florida. But since you mention it, Miami in the early 1960s was a cow town, and look at it today. Please don’t tell me that Cubans had nothing to do with any of this. And by the way, since you despise the “banana republic” known as Miami so much, may I suggest that you move to Kansas… I’m sure you’ll love it there.

P.S. The article you linked to your response had absolutely NOTHING to do with the point you were trying to make. It had to do with the rise in the ocean levels and how the State government, which is located in Tallahassee (the panhandle of Florida) is insensitive to south Florida and not passing legislature to allocate funds to address the issue. As I said, you may fool some, but not me. That wasn’t even a mediocre spin-job. Keep trying…

KABOOM!!! -Ghostrider Wisdom…is there any other kind.

  4. GhostRider says:

    BRAVO…BRAVO…BRAVISIMO!
Dating back to 2009, this has not only been the most entertaining post, but I dare say, the only one with any entertainment value you ever posted and I am very flattered that GhostRider, and his views on Gilligan’s, oops sorry, Cuba, are the subject of this post and you can damn well bet, that anywhere that Mr. GhostRider is the subject – the press addresses my alter ego as such, shall we address yours as Mr. TGO – entertaining reading will follow. I am flattered because you could have replied to the commentary using the protocol that is normally used yet you chose to dedicate a post solely to TGO’s reply to the GhostRider.

As entertaining as I found it, I must question the methodology TGO used to bring forth a rebuttal, to GhostRider’s conclusion that basically was: Cuba was and is a banana republic. Where do I start? Let’s take it from the top:

    GhostRider vs TGO: Cuba

Right from the title, it was quite evident – since there is no “vs” in any part of post commentary as the post had nothing to do with either one of our alter egos – that TGO would turn it personal. But, with or without GhostRider or TGO’s opinions, Cuba was and will remain a Gilligan’s Island. Furthermore, debate is a method of interactive and representational argument… a form of argument which only examines whether a conclusion is a consequence of premises or factual argument, and TGO’s evasion of the actual topic by directing an attack at his opponent, GhostRider, is known as an “Argumentum ad hominem” in the art of debate. Everything GhostRider knows about human psychology dictates that TGO, be it for reasons of professional or personal relationships in his universe being in disarray – are there any other kind of relationships on this third rock from the sun that we all find ourselves stranded on – is in a very dark space right now and needs validation which led to this, but alas, this is not a topic for our alter egos to discuss but rest assured, that I – the “I” that I am – is here for you, if you can transcend your own imprisoning consciousness. Email or call me.

As we proceed you write, “…for those of you who don’t know who GhostRider is, he’s a guy who likes to stir it up…” Dude. this is no ABC News Network that we are on and GhostRider can’t stir it up and create mass public unrest here on The Great One’s Blog. What you really mean is: He likes to get TGO’s panties bunched up and did so yet once again.

As we proceed you write, “He’s also a guy who lives on clichés; you know that guy, he always has something to say, it’s just the same line all the time.”
Now this is where it got really entertaining for me. From TGO’s more than 8,000 posts dating back to 2009 when the GhostRider opened TGO’s consciousness to the world of blogging, GhostRider loaded hundreds of blogs – before getting bored and quitting…oh yeah, GhostRider is much like my “self” about finishing things, that much I can tell you – and found key words or phrases that were repeated countless of times:
“… amazingly stupid, amazingly backward, amazingly radical, nut-jobs, fanatical, crazed, religious people, brain-dead by religion, their societies remain in the stone age, we have religion to thank, pitiful existence, another rag-head, these ignorant Muslims, Islamic morons, will always be barbarians, they are barbarians, KABOOM…”
Kaboom seems be a favorite. BTW… this is just a tiny fraction of the repetitious caca used in posts. Posts used to denigrate fellow mankind.
For all science posts, the “same line” is: “Interesting stuff.” On TGO’s reason for being alive – the posting of naked women photos – the “same line” seemed to be:
“A natural hottie, Very nice, Wow, no need to describe her, Beautiful curves”
When posting about someone successful and his or her wealth, the repetitive caca was, “Must be nice…”

As we proceed you write, “He’s even got a line for picking up women; in fact he’s got dozens of them. He can’t rely on his good looks, so he goes for the cheap stuff. Ironically enough, it works, albeit on the “cheap stuff,” if you get my drift”.

This had to have been the apogee of the entertainment – t was pretty much mundane after this part – and good thing was it gave me a great laugh. To set the record straight, GhostRider has said to TGO countless of times – if he said it once, he said twice – and I quote him, “Your looks and my charm and we could have been contenders.” Obviously, that shows GhostRider was aware on how TGO had to rely on good looks while he had to rely on charm, so nothing new here my friend. Frank Sinatras are not a dime a dozen so obviously, not all of us are given the complete “package.” GhostRider is complete and happy with the part he has been blessed with and I would hope that TGO one day can find that completeness and happiness with the part he has been blessed with. TGO even goes on to mention the women in GhostRider’s universe and describes them as “cheap stuff,” (btw, the only cheap stuff in the GhostRider universe is GhostRider himself…nothing else)
There are two words that can be used to describe the difference between GhostRider and TGO and: Participant / Spectator. When it comes to things female, GhostRider loves them all… be it platonically talking, listening, feeling their emotions or sharing them with them, shopping, or even as he discovered shortly after his birth during my own “Big Bang” – no pun intended here – playing chess with them while rarely leaving a hotel room. And of course, let’s not kid anyone…and how can I put this and not sound crude. Suffice it to say that GhostRider thinks that there two types of men. Men that like porn and men that like to fuck. I am not about to comment – that much – about TGO and females because frankly, the topic is quite boring being that TGO has relegated that part of his life solely to searching for photos on the internet and posting them on this very blog, of nude girls that, at almost 60yrs old, could be his daughters.
Speaking of young chicks – and in response to your assertion that: “He’s even got a line for picking up women.” GhostRider’s favorite line ever, and one which he only used once on the blond honey 23yrs his junior he laid his eyes on while walking thru the lobby of the MGM in Vegas – as a visual think of a 115lb blond wearing a mini skirt and cowboy boots – “Damn…those boots look like they could use a drink!”

As TGO saw with his own eyes, GhostRider will even talk and relate – as in real conversation between two human beings – to what some men would consider a “skank” and say, “Fuck off” even if that girl was asking a benign question like, “Where can I get a cab”

As we proceed, you finally write, “Anyway, back to the topic at hand…” > TGO, you silly, silly, man! All that waste of time just to finally get to the topic at hand??? Dude! You could have done that from the get-go as all you did when you got “back to the topic at hand” was use rhetoric. You do know what that is, don’t you? The art of discourse that aims to improve the capability of writers or speakers to persuade particular audiences in specific situations – but instead of persuade me or other readers I’m sure – as to your point, you down right flabbergasted me completely. At that point, the GhostRider had to ask himself, “Does he even read the comments people write or like most of the visitors on this blog, does he just look at the nudie photos?”
You see, you ended your ponderous caca with, “ Anyway, I could go on, but what’s the point? In closing, I have two thoughts for GhostRider:..” And what were those thoughts, pray tell! “1. If you live in a banana republic now (in Miami) why not leave? 2. Leave for Cuba.”

Here, please read my comment – the one that gave birth to your most entertaining post to date – once more:
    >I do know who is full of shit, if you asked me. I was born in New York City in ’56 to Cuban parents who had left Gilligan’s Island a year earlier and live in Miami, and have lived here since the age of 12 when my parents dragged me down here as part of a conspiracy to ruin my life. Both turned the surroundings into a banana republic with the exception that one rotted away and the other is so ripe it should be disposed of before it smells up the place<

Now, why in the world, when GhostRider made it clear that Cuba was, is, and always will be, a banana republic and clearly showed disdain at his parental units for dragging me down to Miami – after living my first 12yrs of life in a fan-fucking-tastic place like Manhattan – would TGO advise me to: “Leave for Cuba.”???
Of all the asinine things GhostRider has ever heard TGO say, this one won the grand prize. Logic and rationale would dictate that TGO advise GhostRider to “MOVE BACK TO NYC!”

“Go for it; indulge in the “freedom” and “liberty” that communism “offers.” You have a choice. Go for it! TGO”

What the fuck??? GhostRider has all the freedom and liberty that he needs right in the banana republic, USA, that is Miami – think about it for God’s sake. He is a good 25% overweight from all the “Joie de vivre” abandonment a person can muster. He not only sports a ponytail that some, most, or all, would think is ridiculous, but is complete and at peace not having to think, “Oh man, does she really think it’s ridiculous”. He lives, or tries, by the credo: “Judge me, see if I give a fuck”.

The sad, sad, truth is that TGO will never be able to indulge in “freedom” or “liberty” no matter where he is living. There will always be that lingering thought. “Am I under-dressed for this friendly poker game? “Am I over -dressed for this friendly poker game? – and that’s just when going to a friend’s house! UNLESS….UNLESS…Unless TGO transcends and expands his consciousness – to put it in words that you will recognize: You have a choice. Go for it!
-GhostRider Wisdom…that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

PS….And now, to end this on an entertaining note, as only GhostRider can….I leave you with a slice of GhostRider life and like someone remaining in a bad marriage, or not going to the dentist when a tooth hurts, I chose to remain in Miami – for now at least – even if it is Banana Republic, USA. https://www.facebook.com/913GhostRider/media_set?set=a.3301311164143.146869.1008842929&type=3
